Biography

Su Weijie, Associate Chief Physician of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, MD, and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Maryland, USA. Expert in the Botox Expert Database, with 16 years of professional experience in plastic and aesthetic surgery. She has published more than 10 original articles in SCI-indexed and core journals, has been responsible for and participated in multiple research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau, has been invited multiple times to chair and present at international and domestic academic conferences (ASPS/ASRM, etc.), and participated in the compilation and translation of the academic monograph Grabb's Encyclopedia of Flaps. She received the 2015 Science and Technology Innovation Award of the Chinese Association of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery and the Third Prize of the 2017 Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award. She is a 31st-generation descendant of Su Shi and the great-granddaughter of Su Juxian, a member of the Shanghai Research Institute of Culture and History and known as “Shanghai's First Elder”. She pursued further studies in the United States twice, from 2006 to 2007 and from 2012 to 2013, under the tutelage of renowned face transplant expert Prof. E. Rodriguez, Professor Qian Yunliang, and Professor Zhang Yixin.
